Mom and Dad: Tom and Diane. My parents are both retired US Navy Officers. My mom was an administrative officer and my dad a helo pilot for the early parts of their careers. I only really caught the end of that part by the time I was really old enough to know what was going on. After that, they moved on to bigger and better things like command positions before they retired. My dad is currently the head of the Financial Aid office at the St. Petersburg College Gibbs Campus and my mom is rounding out her Psy.D. at Argosy University so she can hang out her shingle and do some head shrinking. They live in Tampa, Fl right now, but they have plans to leave the area relatively soon.
Brother: Nick. This one is the biggest pain in my ass and my biggest asset. He's 3 years younger than me and 6 inches taller. Kinda a gyp, but I cant do anything about it. We've fought with each other as much as wev'e saved each others asses and its a pretty fair tossup as to which we're doing on any specific day. He's currently my roommate along (surprisingly the cleanest, but considering the other two are a puppy and a kitten, that doesnt say much) and is going to Valencia Community College.

Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Grandparents:
Cathy. Cathy is my aunt by former marriage. My family doesnt get rid of people...EVER. Cathy is definitely no exception. She works for the St. Pete Times as a researcher and has an ass kicking 80's Podcast that she's on. Cathy has more cool collectible crap than any other 4 people i've ever met (like every piece of nightmare before christmas merchandise ever made). She lives in St. Pete and I see her quite frequently. Hip lady for sure.
Andy and Jerry. Andy is my mom's youngest brother and Jerry is his partner. Andy has always been more of an older brother kinda guy to me than an uncle, mostly due to the fact that hes a hell of a lot closer to me in age than my mom. He's a law dog, so you know right off that he's full of crap and we never let him forget that when he comes over to my parents house. Hes a huge Buccaneers fan. Ask to see the tattoo. Jerry works for the cable company, but his true talent lies in painting murals and other artowrk. The Rhonda Storms mural will make you pee yourself if you know who she is. Andy and Jerry have two pugs, Steve and Eydie (named for Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme) and 2 cats at last count. They have a completely badass house in Seminole Heights that got its very own article in the St. Pete Times recently. I'll post some pictures next time I go by their place.
Jim, Katie, Emma and Clancy. These are the crazy Sarasotans. Jim is my mom's brother, Katie is his wife, and Emma and clancy are the two energizer batteries that are their progeny. Many a time have these two kids used me as a human trampoline. Theyre great kids, even though theyre both going to be 3 feet taller than I am if they keep growing 6 inches every time I see them. Jim is at USF getting his Ph.D. from the college of marine science. Katie is a massage therapist who has fixed my back more times than I can count. As far as pets, they have the motherload. Dogs, cats, iguanas, fish, you name it. The inetersting thing is that the kids know every name for every one. They only have one dog and I forget his name is Buddy half the time.
John, Wendy and Justin. John is the third of the Patten brothers, Wendy is his wife and Justin is my cousin. These three live in Norfolk, Va and we dont get to see them enough since we all live in florida. Last time I saw em was at christmas, very nice since it had literally been almost 5 years since the previous encounter. As is typical with the offspring of my extended family though, Justin is taller than me and quite a bit younger. Go figure. I cant win anywhere.
Rod, Janet, David and Zach. The connecticut crew. Brother and sister in law to my dad and their kids. I dont envy the fact that they live up north. I've done my share of living in the snow and I didnt like it much. We keep trying to convince them that they'd have a better time somewhere where you dont need a heater for 11 months out of 12, but hey, what can you do. David and Zach are insane at video games. I thought I played enough to have some decent skills, but jesus...not a chance against these two machines.
Grandpa John and Andree. Grandpa John is my maternal grandfather and Andree is my surrogate grandmother. I get to see these two frequently, but not frequently enough considering they live less than an hour away from me in Waverly. My grandpa loves to fish, Andree loves..well..everything. She's french canadian and has a cool accent. Yes, i'm a nerd with a soft spot for accents. Give me a break.
